Post-Dispatch cuts 18 jobs

UPDATED 2:50 P.M. with Suburban Journal job cuts
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch said today it would cut 14 full-time and four part-time jobs.
Twelve of the positions cut were in advertising, two in operations and four in the newsroom, composed of news researchers and a photo assistant.
Post-Dispatch Publisher Kevin Mowbray said he remains hopeful "that the worst of this economic recession is behind us how to get a free credit report."
The Suburban Journals also cut 28 jobs in advertising and support areas. Publisher Bob Williams called the reductions "difficult but necessary."
