TD unit to run credit for The Source

TD Retail Card Services, a company owned by TD Bank’s U.S. unit, has acquired the private label credit card program of InterTan Canada Ltd., which operates 775 The Source By Circuit City consumer electronics stores and dealer outlets across Canada.
Financial terms of the deal, announced yesterday, were not revealed.
The New Jersey-based business unit of TD Banknorth, a company controlled by TD Bank of Toronto, will administer the program and offer deferred payment plans on electronics purchases and a customer loyalty program.
TD Retail Card Services, formerly known as Shoppers Charge Accounts Co., is one of the biggest U.S.-based private label credit card companies instant payday advance. It launches and administers new credit card portfolios for retailers and acquires their existing credit card portfolios.
InterTan is a subsidiary of Circuit City Stores Inc.
