Cent raises $15 million months after launch; it says 10,000 members have had full-body scans

The Indian preventive-health startup, founded by a Practo co-founder, said Blume Ventures and South Park Commons co-led the round; it also bought an AI radiology company.

Cent, an Indian preventive-health startup launched in 2026 by three co-founders, said on October 27 that it raised a $15 million Series A co-led by Blume Ventures and South Park Commons, and that 10,000 members have had its scans, according to the founders' announcement note.

How it started

Cent was launched this year by Shashank ND, a co-founder of the health-booking company Practo, together with Anshul Khandelwal, a former chief marketing officer at Ola Electric, and Arpit Garg, a former product head at Lenskart, Inc42 reported. It last raised a $5 million seed round from OneFlow Holdings and South Park Commons, Inc42 said.

The founders describe the problem as one of incentives. "Hospitals and diagnostics earn when people are sick, so nobody in the chain is paid to look inside someone who feels fine," they wrote. They said that 7 in 10 cancers in India are diagnosed at stage 3 or 4.

Their product is a single-visit checkup. The company said its protocol brings full-body MRI, low-dose CT, DEXA (a bone and body-composition scan), ECG, echocardiography and more than 100 blood biomarkers together in about two hours. It said it ran the protocol through partner labs first and then opened its own centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR. Inc42 reported a price of ₹27,500 for the package and said Cent uses AI to consolidate findings from different tests into organ-level risk assessments.

How it grew

Cent said it has 10,000 members and has completed 10,000 whole-body scans since inception, a figure Inc42 reported as covering the three cities. Those are the company's own numbers; FinanceInTime has not been able to check them independently.

The founders also published what they said the scans found. Of the first 10,000 members, one in four had a finding worth acting on and one in 40 needed immediate medical attention, they wrote. They said the findings included early-stage tumors, significantly narrowed arteries and aneurysms, all found before any symptom appeared, and that major or critical findings are graded by Cent's own radiologists. The median member is 44, they said.

The round comes with an acquisition. Inc42 reported that Cent bought Medsee, an AI-powered radiology reporting workflow platform, to speed up reporting as scan volumes grow.

What the founders say

In their note, Shashank ND, Khandelwal and Garg wrote: "Prevention cannot be added onto a system designed for treatment." They described what it needs as "imaging and biomarkers in a single visit, AI that sees patterns no single test can, and doctors who confirm every finding and stay with the member afterwards."

They wrote: "Our ambition is preventive health for a billion Indians." They added: "This round lets us move faster on it."

What's next

The company said it plans to put the new money into research and development and to hire for its AI, engineering and clinical teams, according to Inc42. The founders wrote that they are designing their own hardware, and that their goal for 2035 is 10 million scans.

Cent also plans to use the data from its scans to set health baselines for people without symptoms, train models to identify disease risks earlier and support clinical research, Inc42 reported.

The company's findings are its own and have not been reviewed by outside clinicians or published in a journal, as far as the founders' note shows.
