Ownership and Funding

Last updated

Readers have a right to know who is behind the news they read. This page explains who owns FinanceInTime, how we are funded and how we keep our journalism independent of both.

Publisher

FinanceInTime is published by [FinanceInTime legal entity name], a [type of legal entity, e.g. private limited company] registered in [country of registration] under company registration number [registration number].

Registered office: [registered address].

[VAT or tax identification number, if applicable.]

Owners

[FinanceInTime legal entity name] is owned by:

  • [Owner name], [percentage]% [and, if relevant, their other business interests]
  • [Owner name], [percentage]%

[If any person or company controls more than 10% of the publisher, name them here, including indirect ownership through other companies.]

Funding

FinanceInTime is currently funded by [funding sources, e.g. its owners' own capital]. [Name any investors, grants or loans, and any government or political funding, or state that there is none.]

We do not currently carry advertising, sponsored content or paid subscriptions. If we introduce any of these, we will update this page, and they will be clearly labelled and kept separate from our journalism as described in our editorial policy.

Editorial independence

Our owners and funders do not decide what we cover and do not see or approve articles before they are published. Decisions about coverage are made by our editors, who are listed on our masthead. If we ever report on our owners, funders or companies they are connected with, we disclose that connection in the article.

[Describe any further safeguards, e.g. an editorial charter or the editor-in-chief's authority over content.]

Leadership

Editor-in-chief: [name], who is responsible for our editorial standards. Our editors and the sections they lead are listed on the masthead.
